Dr. Aura-Odhiambo holds a Doctorate Degree in Law (LL.D) from the University of Pretoria (International Law), a Master of Law degree (LL.M) from the University of Zimbabwe and another Master in Policy Studies from University of Forte Hare & Zimbabwe; and a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi.
Dr. Aura-Odhiambo has a bias on Commercial, International Human Rights, Labour and Employment, Company Law, conveyancing, litigation as well as research, policy review and development and legislative drafting.
Dr. Aura-Odhiambo has undertaken research for various state, private, and multinational agencies, including the government of Kenya, East African Community (EAC), African Union (AU), ACORD, USAID, the United Nations, ARD-Washington, Landesa among others, on various areas of legal reforms, human rights, gender and climate change and policy formulation.
Dr. Aura-Odhiambo is a senior lecturer at Egerton University and the former Chairperson of the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA – Kenya). She has served in various boards, worked in a multicultural environment and is geographically mobile.
